Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations, 2006
Under the above regulations the provision of fire safety is
now a mandatory requirement for all businesses!
Here are a few facts from the
Regulations:
Existing
fire safety legislation has been repealed and replaced with a
new Fire Safety Regime.
Fire
certificates have been abolished and are no longer
valid.
The new
Fire Safety Regime is based on the principles of Risk
Assessment.
You must
review the Fire Risk Assessment regularly and update it as
required.
Premises
covered by the Fire Safety Regulations may be inspected or
audited by an enforcement officer to ensure compliance with
this law. (This will usually be the local Fire and Rescue
Service).
Call us now to arrange a Fire Risk Assessment on your
premises in order to comply with the law. Non-compliance
carries heavy penalties and we can help you to meet your
statutory
obligations.
